For those who might have missed it, Activision Blizzard is the video game industry's latest out-of-control dumpster fire. It caps off a two-year investigation which found, according to the filing, that female employees — who make up roughly one-fifth of the company's workforce — operate in a toxic, hostile working environment. We've been here before. Ubisoft and League of Legends publisher Riot Games have both been outed as havens for harmful workplace behavior — including sexual misconduct — in the past.

Parents say Kids say Adult Written by Cuties December 11, CSM isn't telling you everything like usual I have an 11 year old son who is restricted from playing M rated games. When my son asked for this for his upcoming 12th birthday, I said no, and he said, "But everyone else plays it.
Parent reviews for call of duty: black ops
You can turn of the Gore and language! A little unsure, I bought the game and gave it to my son. We let him play it, but we had to watch to see if our son could play it. To be completely honest, with Gore and langauge off, it could easily be rated T. So for all you mothers who have your pre-teens or teenagers asking you for this game, buy it! It's perfectly fine!

I have played about 2 or 3 hours of the campaign on the PS3 and have not heard a single cuss word. The graphic content reducer is not only censoring the worst words but all of the cuss words.
However it does do this a lot which tells you that if you were playing the normal way the language would be very bad.

The graphic content reducer also greatly reduces the blood and violence. There are certain parts of the game where the screen actually goes black in order to hide the violence. I have played both off and online and have yet to hear a cuss word.

Now, of cource, if you don't mute the other online players then you are likely to hear some cursing, but muting them is easier than ever. I'm not sure. I haven't played the zombie part of the game yet but I expect that it will be censored in the same way as the campaign.
What if sex was like 'call of duty'?
Also, I should note that I haven't played enough of the game to know what the suggestive themes are about, but Uncharted 2 had the same 3 dot rating for sex and it wasn't very bad the kind of sutff you see on basic tv. However I may write another review after I have played more of the game. Oh yeah, and by the way, I really love the game so far. Helped me decide 2.

You can turn the bad language and blood off common sense! This title contains: Language. Read my mind 2. A Poor Choice of Rating My wife bought this game for my son when he was While I hadn't originally ed on, my son explained to me several things about it.

I really care about and want to know about the games that my son plays because I don't want him playing some awful gory shooter game. Because of this I looked into it a bit. Firstly was how it got rated M. He said that the Call of Duty games before this had been rated T I checked this out.
Sexual harassment in employment (fact sheet)
I found out that the reason that this game was rated M rather than T was because the graphics were better than past games so the gore was more vivid. I told my son about this and he showed me that he could turn off all blood and gore by simply turning off a single setting. I didn't realize that it was that easy. I also watched him play the story mode for around 30 minutes.
I was surprised because in that time I didn't hear a single swear word. The story mode was also optional and not necessary. I found that this game was wronged in the rating.

The basic reason behind making the game M rated was because it was extremely gory, but there is an easy feature that turns gore fully off. While I'm not condoning telling your children to go play a shooter game, I definitely think that children 12 and older can play this game.

If that is your reason for not getting your child this game. I would recommend just allowing your twelve year old to get the game. This title contains: Ease of Play. Helped me decide. Had useful details. Parent of a 6 and year-old Written by Ashley Joanesen February 24, Call of duty is not as bad as you may think I was reluctant to let my 12 year old son play Call of duty because it was rated M.
He would keep bugging me all the time about how it was not that bad and that all of his freinds had it. I finnaly decided to get it for him after I looked it up on the internet and found out you can actually dial down the blood and gore, turn off the language, and it actually was based on Afghanistan war and it taught him a lot.

Another reason i did not want him to have it was I thought he was not mature about it but actually when I got it for him he started to act more mature then ever. Also it's rated M because of language and violence but by the time there in middle school they have basically heard it all and it is not as violent as you may think plus my kids have seen it on TV. When I got it for him he was always hugging me and saying he loved me. It was really nice. This title contains: Educational Value. Parent of a year-old Written by littlereviewer June 30, My son aged 10 loves it!

My son, aged 10, loves it! But I got it for him on one condition He spends a certain amount of time on it and only at weekends, he is happy with that, it is based around a war in the future. My son also enjoys playing online with friends, check online servers before letting your child play on them though. It has taught my son about the war and how horrible it is.
